What is it?
Cryolipolysis, or in other words fat freezing, is the newest way of reducing fat cells, bulges or unwanted fat bumps on the skin. This new technology is competing with surgical treatments such as liposuction – but the best thing about cryolipolysis is that there is NO surgery required.
How it works
Fat freezing involves using a hand held device to freeze up to 40% of fat in the cells down to -6ºC. The frozen fat cells become crystallised, without any apparent damage to the overlying skin or surrounding tissue.
Then the body naturally disposes of the dead cells over the course of 2-3 months – which is amazing since other lipo and fat removal treatments require you to spend days resting or under care – whereas with Cryolipolysis, you can walk out on the same day!
